Let’s All Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Updated: Sep 14

The 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month Observance Theme has been selected. This year's theme is: "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation."

This September, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! This is a time to reflect on the many ways in which Hispanic culture has shaped our country and to celebrate the contributions of Hispanic Americans. It's also a great opportunity to teach our children about the importance of culture and community.

Why We Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is an important time for us to remember the significant contributions that Hispanic Americans have made to our country. From art and music to politics and science, Hispanic Americans have left their mark on nearly every aspect of American life. This month is also a time for us to celebrate the rich diversity of Hispanic culture and to teach our children about the importance of respecting and celebrating other cultures.

How You Can Celebrate at Home

There are many ways that you can celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with your family. One way is to learn more about the history and culture of Hispanic Americans. You can read books or watch movies

together, or take a trip to a local museum or gallery that features works by Hispanic artists. Another great way to celebrate is to cook traditional Hispanic dishes together. This is a fun activity for the whole family and a great opportunity to try new foods! Finally, you can use this month as an opportunity to connect with your community by attending local events or participating in service projects that benefit the Hispanic community.
