Summer learning loss can have a significant impact on a child's academic success, as it can compound year after year, leading to a widening achievement gap between high- and low-income students. There are a number of ways to prevent summer learning loss, including Summer School, parental involvement, and kids' involvement in Summer activities.

Summer learning provides students with an opportunity to review and practice what they have learned during the school year, while parental involvement helps to ensure that kids are staying active and engaged during the summer months. Summer activities, such as camp or sports, can also help to prevent summer learning loss by providing kids with a structured environment where they can continue to learn and grow.
